Latvia suspends gaming licenses during covid-19 outbreak

Today, April 6th 2020, Latvian Gaming Authority (LGA) has issued a formal notice temporarily suspending all gaming licenses in the country.

As previously informed in the press release from April 5, 2020 the decision was expected and is based on the law “On Measures for the Prevention and Suppression of Threat to the State and Its Consequences Due to the Spread of COVID-19”. Temporary license suspension will remain effective as long as a state of emergency is declared by the government of Latvia. Currently state of emergency is until April 14, 2020. It can get prolonged depending on the development of the COVID-19 spread. Enlabs will, in accordance with instructions from LGA, temporarily suspend online operations in Latvia from April 8, 2020. Land-based operations have been closed since March 22, 2020.
